How the eBay fee works
- How much does eBay take when you sell a Pokémon card?
- For trading cards, eBay's final value fee is 13.25% of the order total up to $7,500 and 2.35% of the part above it. The order total includes the sales tax eBay collects from the buyer, so at a 7% rate the fee works out to about 14.2% of your sale price. On top of that there is a per-order fee: $0.30 on orders of $10 or less, $0.40 above.
- What does the calculator count as my cost?
- Your buy price including the shipping you paid, plus the sales tax you paid on it, plus any grading fee and shipping to and from the grader. Your net is the sale price minus eBay's fee, your ship-out cost and that total.
- What is the max buy price?
- The most you can pay all-in (item plus shipping in, before tax) and still net $5 or $10 at the sale price you entered. SlabFloor's Floor calls a deal flip-worthy at $5+ net and 10%+ ROI.
